Lorain County free clinic 13th annual golf benefit

Lorain County Free Clinic will hold its 13th annual charity golf benefit on July 24 at the Pine Brook Golf Club, 11043 North Durkee Road, Grafton.

Donation is $85 per person or $325 for a registered foursome. That includes lunch, beverages, 18 holes of golf, cart, skins game and a steak dinner. There will also be raffles, prizes and a hole-in-one contest throughout the day.

Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available. Proceeds will help the Lorain County Free Clinic provide medical care for the uninsured here in Lorain County.

MHS 45th class reunion

Midview High School class of 1964 will hold its 45th class reunion July 25 at Thistledown Racetrack, 21501 Emery Road, North Randall.

The event will be 3 to 9 p.m. with dinner served at 5 p.m. Racing will take place from 1 to 5:15 p.m. for those who wish to play the ponies.

Admission, parking and the racing program are all free. Cost to attend the reunion is $30 per person for dinner in the Bistro Room.

Vendors needed for Lions festival

Vendors are needed for the annual LaGrange Lions Festival July 23 to 25 at Lions Club Park, Glendale Street, LaGrange.

Quarterback golf outing

The fourth annual Keystone Quarterback Golf Outing will be 8:30 a.m. July 11 at Indian Hollow Golf Course.

The event will be a four-man scramble. Cost is $65 per person or $260 per team or $60 per person and $240 per team. Mail information to: PO Box 502, LaGrange, OH 44050.

The price for the day includes green fees, cart rental, lunch, dinner, beverages and prizes. First place will receive $500.

Cell phone collection

The GFWC/OFWC Midview Women’s Club is continuing its cell phone collection.

The cell phones will be sent to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Department, which will in turn give the used cell phones to homeless and domestic violence shelters.

Cell phone collection boxes are still set up at the Grafton Sparkle Market, Grafton-Midview Public Library, Grafton’s First Place and First Merit banks, Columbia Station Fifth Third Bank, IGA in Eaton Township and the dental offices of McNeeley and Shuba DDS Inc. of Elyria.
